1. Break the broccoli into sprigs and cook them in a little boiling salted water until just tender.
2. Drain and rinse the broccoli in cold water, then drain thoroughly and place in a serving bowl.
3. Quarter the tomatoes, trim and chop the scallions and add them to the broccoli.
4. Mix in enough mayonnaise to moisten the salad ingredients to taste and top with the sliced eggs.
5. Sprinkle with paprika and serve.
