Chocolate Fork Cookies

Cooking time: 20 minutes plus cooling time

ingredients

makes about 2 dozen
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup fine sugar
1 1/4 cups self-raising flour
pinch of salt
2 1/2 tablespoons cocoa

method

1. Heat the oven to 190°C (375°F).

2. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.

3. Sift in the flour, salt and cocoa and mix well.

4. Form the mixture into walnut-sized balls and place on greased baking sheets.

5. Squash each ball slightly with a fork.

6. Bake for 8 minutes. Cool on a wire rack.
