Codfish Balls

ingredients

serves 4.
1 cup flaked salt codfish
3 cups sliced potatoes
2 tablespoons milk
2 tablespoons butter
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1 egg, beaten

method

1. Simmer fish and potatoes together in a large amount of water until potatoes are tender. Drain well and mash.

2. Add remaining ingredients and beat until light.

3. Shape into balls and fry in hot deep fat (380°F.) until brown.
