Corn Chowder

ingredients

serves 4.
3 slices salt pork
1 medium onion, sliced
4 medium potatoes, sliced
2 cups water
6 large soda crackers
2 cups milk
2 cups cooked corn,
fresh or canned
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

method

1. Cut salt pork into cubes and brown in large saucepan. Add onion and cook until tender and lightly browned.

2. Add potatoes and water and cook until potatoes are tender.

3. Soak crackers in milk. Add corn, salt, pepper and soaked crackers to the cooked potato mixture. Heat to boiling.
