Green Beans with Almonds

ingredients

serves 8
1 pound green beans, trimmed
salt and pepper
2 tablespoons sweet butter
25 g (1 oz) flaked almonds
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar

method

1. Add the beans to a pan of boiling salted water, bring back to the boil and cook for 2 minutes. Drain and refresh under cold running water.

2. Melt the butter in a skillet, add the flaked almonds and fry for a minute or two until golden. Add the beans and toss to mix. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

3. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar just before serving.
