Grilled Brie and Walnuts

This unusual cheese recipe will impress your guests as it looks as though it has been made professionally. You'll be pleased to know that it requires almost no preparation.

ingredients

serves about 16 - 20
1 tbsp butter, at room temperature
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 1/2 pound wheel of Brie or Camembert cheese
1/4 cup chopped walnuts
French stick, sliced and toasted to serve

method

1. Preheat the grill. In a small bowl, cream together the butter and Dijon mustard, and spread evenly over the surface of the cheese. Transfer the cheese to a flameproof serving plate, and grill 4 - 6 inch from the heat for 3 - 4 minutes until the top just begins to bubble.

2. Sprinkle the surface with the walnuts and grill for 2-3 minutes longer until the nuts are golden. Serve immediately with the French bread toasts. Allow your guests to help themselves as the whole grilled Brie makes an attractive centrepiece.
