1. Heat the oil in a frying-pan. Add the beef and fry until browned.
2. Stir in the onion and cardamon and continue frying for 5 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, beat the eggs with seasoning until just mixed.
4. Heat the broiler to high. Drain off all the fat from the pan, then spread out the meat mixture evenly.
5. Pour the eggs over the meat and cook until the bottom of the omelet has set.
6. Place the pan under the broiler and cook until the top is set.
