ingredients
makes 4 cups
2 level tablespoons cocoa
4 tablespoons cold water
1 1/4 pints (725 ml) skimmed milk
1 vanilla bean, split lengthways
1/2 level teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 medium, ripe banana, peeled and chopped
2 level tablespoons Greek yoghurt
1 level teaspoon grated plain chocolate
method
1. Blend the cocoa and water to a paste in a saucepan. Gradually whisk in half the milk.
2. Stir in the vanilla bean and cinnamon and bring to the boil, then simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring. Discard the vanilla bean.
3. Blend the bananas and remaining milk in a food processor until smooth. Stir into the chocolate milk and bring to the boil.
4. Take off the heat, whisk in the yoghurt, then pour into cups or mugs, and sprinkle with the grated chocolate. Serve immediately.
