ingredients
makes 1 (8 x 10 inch) loaf.
2 cups corn meal
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons sugar
2 cups sour milk
2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons melted shortening
method
1. Sift dry ingredients together and add milk, eggs and shortening.
2. Mix well. Pour into greased pan and bake in hot oven (400° F.) 30 minutes.
