1 pound noodles
1 tablespoon oil
6 tablespoons butter
3 garlic cloves, crushed
3 tablespoons parsley, chopped
1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped
2 teaspoons fresh oregano or marjoram, chopped
salt
freshly ground black pepper
2/3 cup Romano or Parmesan cheese, grated
method
1. Cook the noodles in boiling salted water with the oil for 8 - 10 minutes or until just tender.
2. Meanwhile, melt the butter in another saucepan. Add the garlic and fry for 1 minute. Stir in the herbs and seasoning.
3. Drain the noodles and return to the saucepan. Stir in the herb mixture and cheese and toss well together.
Serve hot.
