Panned Oysters

ingredients

serves 6.
1 pint large oysters
1/4 cup oyster juice
6 slices buttered toast

method

1. Place oysters in a shallow baking pan and pour over them a small quantity of oyster juice, but not sufficient to raise or float them.

2. Place dish carefully in hot oven (425°F.) and just heat the oysters through. Be careful not to bake them.

3. Moisten hot buttered toast with hot juice from oysters and serve oysters on toast.
