1 pint milk
2 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
5 ounce instant polenta
salt and pepper
3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
2 tablespoons Butter
method
1. Put the milk into a large pan, add 1 pint water and the crushed garlic and bring to the boil. Add the polenta and 1 tsp salt, whisking constantly, then cook, stirring continuously, for about 5 minutes until all the liquid has been absorbed and the polenta is cooked.
2. Remove the pan from the heat, continuing to stir all the time, then add the Parmesan and butter. Season to taste with pepper and serve.
