method
1. Melt butter, add crumbs and mix well. Spread 1/3 of the mixture in a greased baking dish.
2. Arrange half the oysters in one layer on top and cover with half the remaining crumbs.
3. Season with salt and pepper and add a second layer of oysters and crumbs. Season.
4. No more than 2 layers of oysters should be used, otherwise the top and bottom layers will be overcooked and tough before those in the middle are well heated through.
5. Pour the milk over the top. Bake in moderate oven (350°F.) about 30 minutes or until top is brown. Garnish with parsley.
