OVEN: Preheat to 200°C (400°F)
1. Make vertical parallel cuts in each potato, about 1/4 inch apart and almost down to the base. Pat the potatoes with kitchen paper to dry them well.
2. Brush the potatoes sparingly with the oil and press the top of each firmly into the sesame seeds.
3. Put the potatoes in a lightly oiled baking tin, coated side up. Bake in the heated oven for about 1 hour, or until they are tender inside and crisply browned outside.
