1/2 pound cream cheese
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic
salt or celery salt
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 tablespoon grated onion
1 tablespoon chopped green pepper
4 ounce drained canned crushed pineapple
7/8 cup walnuts, chopped
TO SERVE
lettuce leaves
cocktail biscuits
olives
tomatoes
method
1. Beat the cream cheese until soft and gradually stir in the salt, parsley, onion, green pepper and crushed pineapple.
2. Finally add half the nuts and combine well, then chill in the refrigerator until firm.
3. Sprinkle the remaining nuts on a sheet of foil.
4. Shape the chilled mixture into a ball and roll in the nuts until evenly coated.
5. Serve the walnut-coated cheese on a bed of lettuce and surround it with cocktail biscuits, olives and tomatoes.
